Bought my ipaq 6365 a few weeks ago - I like it very much, phone feature has all I need EXCEPT A KEYPAD LOCK!! This is very annoying as the bloody thing keeps redialling last number or making phone calls. Ive reduced the problem by disabling all the buttons when on standby, and reducing my speed dial numbers, but because by default it displays the last numnber occassionally I find that after making a call it re calls it two or three times.
There are after market programs with a keypad lock, but they dont take over from the native program - and dont have features like "hands free" which I use all the time.
All Im really after is an add on for the native Phone program to add a keypad lock to the thing.
Does anyone know of such a thing?

Is there a Button Lock function on your unit? Start - Settings - Personal tab - Button Lock.

Yes there is a button lock function, it is already activated so that when in standby, the only button that will function is the power button. This reduces the problem but doesnt stop it for some reason.
problem primarily is with last number redial function not being able to be disabled. It automatically shows the last number dialled, so if you press the green phone butto :( n, it automatically redials. Would be good to make this seletive rather than automatic. Or just have a keypad lock on the phone.
i am amazed that HP left out such a basic feature.
Thersa aprogram called "extendaphone" or something that has a key lock frature, but it acts in paralell with the native program and dosent have loudspaaekae ror other useful functions.

Hey, answer dude.
Thanks for your help, but I have found a great program that does the trick, its called "delta Lock", and can be found at :
www.deltadevelopment.de/users/christoph/deltaLock/
spread this around, as it seems to be a common problem with PDA Phones. However, it does lock the whole screen, not just the keypad but thats ok

Hey answerdude
Found another program, works even better than the other one.
its called "Screenlock for PDA", can be found at :
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp
Its Free, and allows you to still take incoming calls when the thing is locked - also means your ear wont activate any buttons on the screen when you are in the middle of a conversation, another annoying problem when using a PDA phone.
