Help with ActiveSync problem please

I was synching my PC with my Ipaq 4155 without problems for weeks (months).

Suddenly, when I try to sync them, I receive a message as follows:
"Combine or Replace:
The next kind of information (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Mail) has elements that have not been syncronized before with this PC", and I have to choose between:
- Combine the elements of the PC and the PPC
- Replace the PPC with the PC information
- Do not sync --> but keeps all unresolved.

I don't know why I'm receiving this warning, since the sync process was allways perfect. The only "different" situation is that today I have connected another pocketPC (Ipaq 1945) in the Guest Mode, to installe some software.
I thought that connecting another device in Guest Mode should not modify the partnership I use with my main Ipaq.

The problem is that if I use "combine", I think that I will have duplicated all the contacts, tasks, calendar entrys, etc.
If I replace the PPC with the PC I will loose all the modifications I have just entered in the PPC.
What I want to do is just SYNC the new/modified information.

Any suggestions?
Any hints on how to put things back in order ?

I think if you select the replace option it will only replace entries on the Pocket PC that have corresponding entries on your desktop PC, e.g. if you have two entries on PPC:

1200 Lunch
1300 Meeting

And one on your Desktop

1200 Lunch

But the details of the 1200 lunch are different on desktop to PPC then it will replace the PPC's entry. But it should leave 1300 Meeting entry untouched.

Activesync's help should clarify this. Unfortunately I don't have access to ActiveSync at the moment to check: I have that at work but I am home where I use a Mac.

Check the help or look online for details. Either way you can (=should) backup PPC first either to Desktop using Activesync or on the PPC if you have backup software (iPaq Backup). If you then do the synch and you lose entries you can just restore from the backup.
