Hi,
My company recently installed a WiFi network in our corporate office, with multiple access points. There are problems that i'm having in trying to use my iPAQ 6325 to connect to it. Its important to note that I have an IBM Laptop as well (T43p) that i use and connect to the same WiFi no problem, which you'll understand why soon enough i suppose.
1. I have to be an authenticated user of a security group in our companies AD Domain. I belong to this group already, as i authenticate regularly with my laptop
2. We use a Certificate Server (cisco wlse box) that issues and revokes certificates to machines in our network domain whose users are members of a specific security group per above. I'm not sure how i get this certificate to work on my iPAQ? (let alone installed)
3. The WLSE box is tied to our AD Domain GPO’s so whatever device that tries to connect, must be an object of our domain
I have no idea where to start to be frank. I had to use a script to install the certificate on my laptop, so i suppose that will be the first hurdle in getting the certificate on my iPAQ.
I also have to add my iPAQ as an AD object, i haven't done this before and not sure if it can even be done.
And finally...how do i authenticate as DOMAIN\USER regularly on my IPAQ when i want to connect to my corporate WiFi?
I would love some expert advice on this matter :)
Thanks,
Mike
