Hi,I've only had my PPC for a couple of days so be gentle!Ok,i'm trying to install opera 8.5 beta via ppc.I click to download and wait-the screen is a mass of codes!I've looked with the inbuilt file explorer but alas I can't find the installation file!Any help would really be appreciated,thanks

Are you referring to this?

It depends on what browser you use to download it, some browsers on the ppc are just don't download well with redirector link.
Try download it to desktop and copy it to ppc instead. make sure you do not rename the extention or uncompress it.
Or you can try mirror site at
http://mirror.olnevhost.net/pub/opera/winmobile/850b/

Hi,yep I've tried those links with no luck-must be Internet Explorer.My P.C. is getting repaired just now so i'll have to give opera a miss for now.Thanks for your advice.


p.s. If their's anyone else with this device would be great if you could share your knowledge..best programs/problem solving and so on.

back again!I've downloaded thunderhawkII browser-it installs fine but when I click start then tap on thunderhawk it refuses to open(I downloaded the WM5 version that is compatible with my device)Any ideas what could be wrong?

Have you tried soft-reset the device first then try opening the program again?

Thanks for your replies.Turns out I was installing to storage instead of device and thunderhawk won't operate if you do that.The Browser isn't great though compaired with Netfront-how come s60 have all the decent browsers first?Unfair...lol,cheers
