I wonder if any body can help I just picked up an old palm pilot and it did not come with a cd with the desktop manager the OS i believe is V2.0 any idea where I might download it. I tried the palm site and downloaded version 4.3 which i think is not compatable as it will not talk to the palm. it is the first time I have used a palm and seems to be extremely useful and I would like to be be able to use it a while to see if it fits me before I invest in a more expensive later version

regards

Colin

You should be able to sync a Professional with Palm Desktop 4.1.4. The version of the Desktop has nothing to do with the Palm OS version on the handheld. Keep in mind that you have to have your HotSync Manager set to "Local Serial," and I think the downloaded versions of Palm Desktop default to Local USB and maybe Network. Right-click on the HotSync Manager icon in your PC's "tray," and make sure Local Serial is checked and Local USB and Network are not checked.
