I've got a treo 700w, the Wireless sync program is a complete piece of useless trash. It's a push that never deletes email from it's own server unless IT decides it wants to, so you're constantly deleting off your device the same emails you JUST deleted 20 minutes ago. My Inbox is constantly full of the same crap I just deleted.

So, what I was wondering was, I turned off Wireless Sync (Verizon), and can I, when I'm not at my desk for example, use some other sort of syncing program over the air that will dial out and get mail and be a TRUE wireless sync not just some useless push program that is only one way?

thanks in advance.

The built-in Pocket inbox has ability to check mail at an interval you set. If you turn off wireless sync, use the builtin messaging and set your pop/imap inbox to retrieve mail at specific interval through your gprs connection.

I got to thinking that before I had the treo 700w i used to do exactly that and now have set up both yahoo and google to sync wireless for email.

Of course, you have to be a paid yahoo subscriber to get pop email access and google you don't. So, I set up both.

thanks.
