Sandisk Compact Flash Card Problem on HP Jornada 568 ! HELP !

I bought a Sandisk Compact Flash Card 64 MB to use on my HP Jornada 568. But when I insert the card in Socket 1, my Jornada gives the following message:

Unrecognized Card:

Enter the name of the device driver for this card. For information, see the card manufacturer's documentation.

What must I enter so that my Card will work? Where do I find that name? I already checked http://www.sandisk.com and http://www.hp.com/jornada, but haven't found any drivers or info !!! The manual says that Windows CE for Pocket PC recognizes most Cards, why doesn't it recognize this one? Desperately need help !

You may need to format it. I've heard of new ones needing it. As to how you can check your book. If you have a digital camera that takes them you might try it - some of them have a format feature also.

Hey, I got Jornada 565 and 128MB of SanDisk. I bought them all at once and just plugged the card in my 565, it worked fine! I think You just need to remove both: Your main battery and Your extension one, to erase all the memory. Then just plug the card in. Try it, I think it should work!

You should get your hands on one of the highest amounts of Storage space "ultra" compact flash card. my jornada 568 is lightning quick.:)

Did you get it formatted?

Did you contact HP on the problem?

Give us some info and we will see if we can help.

If you formatted it, I'd see if one of your friends has a cf card you could try and see if it works. If it does then your card might be bad.

if you get that 128mb ultra compact flash card made by scandisk your problems will be over, I found mine at Circuit City. They have lots of stuff.
