Apparently, I do not understand the whole function of a SD Memory Card. I have an iPaq 3835 and have purchased a SD card. I have a few programs that I have moved to it but am wondering if my iPaq can read these programs directly from the card or do I have to move them back into the main memory?

You can't just "move" most applications to a storage card, you have to "install" them there. If you do, most applications work fine -- they take a bit longer to load, but work great directly from the card. To install to the card, you have to answer "no" to the "install in default location" question during installation... So remove what ever applications from Main Memory that you want on your card and reinstall them directly to the card -- Most things work great...

You can move the programs back where there were originally installed, install them again specifying "No" to the question "Install xxx in the default location?" and select the Storage Card, or use a registry editor and change the locaton of all the programs you moved to point the the correct directory on the SD.
BTW, when installed on the SD, programs are installed in the root directory of the card, not in a "program files" subdirectory. So using a registry editor simply means changing "Program Files" to "Storage Card" if you installed them in the SD root; otherwise use the specific path.
It helps if you usually keep the same SD installed in the iPAQ.
