I've had a zire 71 for 3 years and never had any problems before. but today, all of sudden I couldn't do any hotsync! The same box comes up everytime I try to HotSync:

"HotSync operation was interrupted. Some of your data was NOT backed up. For details, tap HotSync Log on the the HotSync screen".

and when I tapped on the Log, this came up:

"HotSync operation was terminated. Some of your data was NOT backed up. An application on the PC failed to respond to a confirmation query. This application may need to be restarted."

I've tried to go on the troubleshooting page, tried ALL things they suggest on there, it didn't work. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the Palm Desktop programme about 4 times, it didn't work. I've tried to uninstall, re-start my computer, and re-install the programme again, it still didn't work. I've tried to re-start the Zire 71, and guess what? It STILL DIDN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!

Please please please help me..I really don't know what to do..I feel like I've tried everything but nothing has worked so far...Please..pretty please...

my advice, u use soft reset by pressing the reset button on the back. I have the same model zire 71 too but my problem is more serious and theres one time it solved but now i also having problem with the hotsync and it didnt detect in my laptop. are ur laptop detect ur pda when u perform hotsync
