Well I have been experimenting with email on the Garmin Ique 3600. I tried Eudora, but it just did not work well. Very complicated settings, that just caused more confusion. Could not get the synchronize to work well (would have taken me a few hours to optimize).

I also tried out Versamail. That was a royal pain!! It just kept have crashes or other problems.

Stumbled upon SNAPPERMAIL LITE for $25, that seems to work, as log as I use the PPP tool called SOFTICK (also costs $25). It just seems this is a high price, but it works every time.

Also thought about Chattermail ($40) and Agendus ($40) but not sure if they are worth the money.

Does anyone have a better working solution for the 3600??

Now I am looking at using a serial (rs232 cable) and a PPP driver software that is free via the serial port.

This should allow me to use some kind of POP email client. Someone found a free one (alternative to SNAPPERMAIL), so I will try that tonight.

All other emails seem to have problems or are costly.

okay. I still have SNAPPERMAIL LITE and SOFTICK as the best solutions. Everything else has problems.

Completely re-thought how to do this.

Installed Microsoft Outlook 2002 on my desktop computer. Tuned it up and made it work via POP3 with my email provider Yahoo Mail.

Activated the VERSAMAIL application with conduit to connect to my Outlook Mail. Works fine.

Activated the Chapura conduits to link up CONTACTS, DATES, NOTES, etc. between the Palm device and Outlook 2002. Works fine.

The Chapura and Versamail came with the install CD for the Ique 3600.
