Need help troubleshooting keystroke malfunctions with Palm TX's built-in keyboard

I'm having trouble with the built-in keyboard that came with my Palm TX (the keyboard that shows up on the TX viewscreen). When I type on the keyboard, and tap on the letter I want, I sometimes get a "/" slash sign instead of the letter. When typing a sentence, sometimes not all the letters appear even though I'm tapping the screen and corresponding keys with a firm tap. Is there any way I can fix these problems? I've tried re-caliberating the touchscreen several times, and the problems still occur. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance! :)

You might try going to Prefs/Buttons/More... and select keyboard. This will bring up the old style, superior keyboard. I think you may also have to select the method of bringing it up...can't remember. I swipe the stylus upward from grafitti input to top of screen.
