choosing users

I used to be able to have 3 schedules on my zire 31, and when i would hot sync it sould ask me which user i want to synch with. this was useful to differentiate between class sched / running log / etc..

now after reinstalling this option never comes up, --it just synchs with the first user, and doesn't give any option to choose. also it doesn't even synch
other users/schedules.

also, another thing is, when i click "custom" in palm software and try to check the defalut user, if i come back to it its unchecked again.

Q: what am i doing wrong? is this what profiles is sposed to be used for??
