Hi Paul, Ktjensen seems to think you could help me with the mess I made of my 3600. I am sure you are reading the Threads and know my problem, If not I apologize, let me know and I will explain. I can take pictures of both ribbons that are broke and you can make that decision if you can help me.
Thanks

I have not been around all weekend, sorry for the delay. I looked at the pictures, and it seems that you ribbon to the power it broken. But, in reality, you never needed to move the screen at all. You just should of left the screen, right in place on the circuit board, and just turn the screen and the circuit board out of the way. But on to trying to fix the screen power. You lucky it just the power, and not the other ribbon cable that provides the data, then you would need a new ribbon cable. Try tracing out the wires in the cable and jump wires be soldering them at the terminal point the ribbon wires lead to. You need to do some very careful soldering to not get any drips or leads of solder to any other terminals. You could try yourself, or you can send it in for me to take a look at.

I received you iQue today. It doesn't look good. The backlight for the screen is wired directly into a ribbon cable, which is the same ribbon cable that gets connected to board. Here a picture of the ribbon cable that goes to the backlight LED's.
