Cheap is relative as you have to pay somebody for something along the way. If you already have an Internet connection, you can go with an ethernet card and cable -- cheapest but most cumbersome. Change the ethernet card to a wireless LAN card and wireless access point to connect to your already existing Internet connect and you're probably ready to go for somethere in the $200-300 range. However, this is a local site solution; to get Internet anywhere, you will need a wireless modem card and a contract with some phone company or ISP that support wireless connectivity. Probably closer to $400 for the card and an additional monthly charge to the ISP.

how do i share an internet connection with my PC, and how much would it cost?

Put the ipaq in the docking base and use Pocket Internet explorer.
You will use the connections to internet that has the Pc you are linked with the docking base.
The cost is the one you pay for your internet connection in your pc.
