I just bought an AData 2Gb card (50x) from Newegg.
My PC can see it, format it, and copy data to it, but my E2 and an associate's E2 won't regognize that there is a card installed. And I tried it a T5 and it sees that I plugged in a card, but requests to format it. When I try to format it in the T5, it errors and says it is not a recognized format.
I had read that the limit for a card in the E2 is 2Gb. Was I wrong?
Thanks,
Chuck

Looks like it, when I bring up expansion cards in the accessories of E2 on the Palm website, 1GB is the largest that's listed.

Here is the link to the official word from Palm about size of the SD cards and what's supported. We had a similar issue in the T forum for a T3 user wanting to use a 4GB card so........

Thanks for the link. I guess I will have to use the new 2Gig in the camera and take it's 1 gig for the Palm. I was looking forward to having 2gig of music on long flights.
Maybe it's an excuse to get the TX.

Wow! Guess I lucked out.
A couple of weeks ago I was going to buy an SD card for my E2. I saw a 256 meg card on sale at CompUSA for about $20.00. When I got to the store, they had a "manager's special" running on a 1 gig card for $34. I sprung for the 1 gig. Works fine, of course. I'd have been ticked off if I had bought it and it wouldn't have worked - especially as you have to destroy the original packaging to open it, and I probably couldn't have taken it back.

No, it's just that the T|E2 only works with up to 1GB and no more than that because the processor can't handle it. it's not about getting lucky with finding a working card, because all should work.

I think he means he lucked out that the sd card that was on offer was a 1gb that would work :)
Now if only I was that lucky in stores, I normally just get mine online now.
