HOW to Unlock treo 270/180

Does anyone know or have any info on how to unlock the treo 270 or 180, so it can be used with any GSM\GPRS provider.

Whereever there is a lock, there has to be a key. try www.astalavista.box.sk if you dont find it there leave a note on the forum, someone will give you the crack.

Any luck on unlock codes for the Treo 270? Particularly unlocking from Tmobile? Purchased one from Ebay that was advertised to be unlocked, but it obviously is not or I would not be here ;)

I have a SIM from a AT&T wireless nokia 3650 and want to get one of the Treo 180's - But I wont purchase it until i know I'll be able to unlock it.

Any info?

Here's what you do to get your 180 unlocked with the www.1tigerdirect.com unlock code.

Goto the above site and get your unlock code. Put IN the SIM of the network your wanting to get onto. (now I did this to go from a T-Moble Treo 180 and used a SIM from my Nokia 3650 which is AT&T Wireless/mMode)

By default when you first turn the 180 on, up above (after hitting the telephone book button (lower left), it says 'Wireless Mode is off'- Click the 'Voicemail' button. It will say, Wireless mode is off you wish to turn it on? Hit Yes. Now it will search for a network. Now the phone will eventually say that this SIM does not work with this network but that you can make emergency (SOS) calls. Hit Ok or whatever. But notice now up above it says No Service - SOS Only.

Now your are connected and the phone is seeing the service provider but since your locked onto the phones locked provider, it says you can only make SOS calls. Which is exactly what we want.

Now - bring up the dial pad and refer back to the www.1tigerdirect.com site and enter your unlock code. NOW it will work as you get a message that the lock has been removed.

ENJOY!

P.S. Go check handsprings support site as there are GPRS updates/patches for the phone. I had to download the AT&T one as that was the service provider my SIM was for.

Can anyone help me - I can't even access the http://www.1tigerdirect.com/treo/0 site to get a code - it redirects me to: http://www.tigerdirect.com/indexus.asp?SRCCODE=WEBLP which seems to be a consumer site.

I also bought an "unlocked" treo 270 phone, I'm trying to get into the FIDO network in Toronto, and can't get it to work.

Please help!

but the tiger direct link mentioned does not work for me , as a matter of fact it does not show anything , doesnt even verify if the imei nos are not matchin...
