Ok, I got the USB to IrDA adapter and installed it. I installed IrCOMM2k and set up my IrDA port as COM3. As its directions say, I checked the box in the COM3 config for allow only active IR connections + I unchecked digital image transfer in Wireless Link of the Windows Control Panel. HotSync Manager showed Infrared so I tried to check it. Then I got an error saying it can't connect to the infrared port and told me to read IR_Readme.txt. I don't have that file at all. I tried putting the Palm next to the USB adapter and I got some response so I know it's partly working. All I get from the Palm is Waiting for sender... which disappears and re-appears continually. This is as far as I can get. This is with Win2000 and Palm Desktop 4.1.4.
