Has anyone else used Photosuite Mobile Edition (I'm using v2.23) to view pictures that you've stored on the expansion card? If so, when you click on the expansion card icon from within Photosuite, do you have to wait for ages (up to 5 minutes, depending on the amount of data held on the SD card) while the m505 displays "Please Wait...". Good opportunity to make a cup of tea, but otherwise quite irritating. Any suggestions? MGI told me this would be fixed in the next release of Photosuite, but they wouldn't tell me the release date.

I agree.

I have my photos saved to a 64 mg card and it takes quite some time to load.

I beleive this has to do with the processor speed on the palm.

To see the difference in processing speed with the Tungsten, I loaded my photo card onto one at a CompUSA.

The photo files (about 60) loaded in about 15 seconds. Not to mention the picture quality was improved (but not enough to fork out the $500 bucks!).

I was unaware that PhotoSuite was trying to correct the delay.

Thanks Steve - at least I'm not the only victim. I guess the problem I have is understanding what exactly is being "loaded" during this period, and why it's necessary. Surely the data should only need to be transferred once you've selected what you want to view. Why don't they just load the folder details (which I think are stored on the main unit anyway) and the names of the photos? Seems like they're moving more data than is really required. But what do I know.

I also found PhotoSuite to be completely unacceptable in performance when accessing photos stored on the SD card. I highly recommend SplashPhoto as a replacement program. Even with 700 photos :-) on my SD card, it launches in just under 1 minute. With under a 100 it should be about 10-15 seconds tops.
