Turn off backlighting when playing music

Hi all.

A long time since I visited this forum, naughty naughty!

Anyway, I remember reading somewhere that there is a way that I can turn off the back-lighting of the screen whilst listing to music (MP3's) on my iPAQ 3870 .

I think this is done somehow by reconfiguring one of the buttons.

If so, how would I go about it.

I tried doing a search for this tip with negative results :(

Push and hold down the power button until the light turn off.

Press&hold the power button only turns off the backlight, you can turn off the screen completely to save more battery while playing music by (assuming you use WMP) select Tools - Settings - Buttons and map Screen Toggle (not Full Screen Toggle) to a button. Press that button while playing music will toggle screen off and on. Other media player has similar feature.

TCPMP is a good and free player which can do that too, try it out !
