Hi answerdude,
I've got my email setup in my T-mobile MDA and everytime I get a message in my inbox it sends me a text message. I can't figure out how to turn this off. Any ideas on this one?

The feature is called E-Mail Triggers, you can disable it by select Configure My E-Mail Triggers when you are in Set Up My E-Mail, here's more detail

I was afraid that was going to be it. I've tried that, but when I select "configure my e-mail triggers" and tap "next", the box under my email accounts is blank (so I can't select anything) and the box in front of "Enable automatic E-mail updates" isn't checked. So, there must be some sort of a problem??

Have your tried soft reset the MDA?

and try the steps again.

hmmm, I thought that would do it - but nothing changed. The box under my email accounts is still blank. I use Yahoo mail. I've tried to see if there are any settings in that mailbox account that I need to change, but haven't found anything yet.

Yeah.... I have the same feature on my hotmail. I get, what they call an "alert" sent to me as a text message when I get mail from someone in my contacts/address book. I don't know about Yahoo but you should be able to manage these alerts in some way, enable/disable them.

Hope this help!
