Hi,
I am having the following problem with the Inbox program on my IPAQ 3970:
I am working with email accounts where the POP3 username in some cases are including the @ character and some not. I have no problem sending/recieving with the accounts where the username don't contain the @ character.
Instead when I try to send and recieve with an account that has @ in the username, I always get the error that it's not possible to download the messages from the server.
I hope you can help me out.

Thanks.

I have the @ for my username. My username is actually my email address and I have no problem logging in. I created a new service on my iPaq inbox.

Did you create a new service or did you use the activesync one?

The problem was not the @ but a problem in the connection between Inbox and the mailserver which is Mercur from Atrium Software. I wrote their support department and this is what they answered:

we have several customers which had have this problem. It depends on an software bug in the Pocket PC. This software doesn't works RFC-conform so that an error message from the mercur POP3 service are generated. We can't do here anything to resolve the software bug of the client software. There are one known issue to resolve this problem, but I think the owner of the mercur doesn't want to do that. The owner of the mercur must disable the security option <Deny TELNET connections>.

So I am back where I started.

Anybody experienced the same problem?

Thanks.
