Hi,

I'm stuck again and looking for assistance. I bought and downloaded a copy of Tinyreader and transferred the exe file to a CF card. However, when I try to instal the prog from the CF when it is in my HX4700 nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? The prog is not corrupted because I can actually open it on my laptop. Resco Explorer doesn't open it either.

Any help appreciated

TIA

The exe file is a desktop installer. You must run it on the desktop while the iPAQ is connected to the desktop and activesync is running. Follow the instruction on screen and Activesync will install the program to the iPAQ.

Thanks, Answerdude,

I ended up after all installing Activesync as I found you could prevent it synchronising (something I didn't want). Will Activesync let me install TinyReader to my CF card rather than to main memory?

Many thanks for your help

First you can just connect as guest (no syncing) to install programs. And second, yes you can install programs to storage card, when activesync asks if you want to install to default location, choose no and select storage card from the next screen.
