hi everyone,

I have just been given a rather old ipaq with no manual and as such there are a few things i would like explaining. The model of the ipaq is the 3760.

I want to use my ipaq as an mp3 player, so I have bought a CF expansion jacket and a 2 gig CF card and I have put the .wmv files on the CF card. However, I cannot figure out how to play these files that live on the CF card, through media player on my ipaq. The only way I have found so far is to copy the files I want to play to the same directory that media player resides on the ipaq, but this only leaves room for about 10 songs. So how do I use media player on my ipaq to play files that reside on my CF card?

I have also installed some software on the ipaq (tomtom and something else), but if I leave the ipaq off for a while (like a few weeks) the software is not there when I turn it back on, and I have to re-install it. In fact the state of the ipaq is as if it has been reset. Is this usual behaviour? If so, is there a minimum number of days/weeks that I can leave the ipaq turned of before everything gets wiped off?

Finally, I would like to use bluetooth, but the 3700 series do not come with bluetooth functionality. The CF expansion jacket I have bought is a "Bluetooth Wireless Pack with CF Card slot". Does this mean that I can simply pop my ipaq in the CF jacket and I automatically have bluetooth functionality, or does this mean that I need to buy a CF Bluetooth card first and put this in the jacket?

Sorry if these questions seem a little dumb to you, but I am new to ipaqs and like I say I do not have a manual.

Many thanks to all who reply,
-Paul

- Create My Documents folder on the cf storage card and put media files in it.

- The battery will probably not last more than a week or so, it maybe a little longer if you close all the program before you switch it off but not by much. If you plan not to use it for longer than that, you should keep it plug in to the power adapter.

- Yes, the sleeve provides bluetooth function, you may have to install additional software that comes with the sleeve.
