I have a 5500 and until now didn't have a need for bluetooth/wireless function. i will be heading to the big city and a hotel with wireless internet access and want ot know if I will be able to access the internet via bluetooth inside the hotel. I had a lap top in a hotel with wireless before and just turned it on and it found the signal and went right on line. will it be the same with the 5500? If not, what will I have to do? Thanks

As long as the hotspot is opened to the public without any unusual securiy system, it should work the same way. Make sure you select "My Work Network" in Connections. You may not be able to see all of the we sites the same way as dessktop, the pocket internet explorer does not have all the functions and features as the desktop. There are 3rd party browser such as Opera and Netfront that may work better.

Hi,
You will need to turn the WiFi on and not the Bluetooth.
Can you also install a wireless connection manager.
There are alot... I like the WiFi Companion (http://www.socketcom.com/product/SW1221-596.asp)
which will make it easy for you to connect.

Don't forget a travel charger... my 5555 w/standard battery, about 2 years old, gives me less than an hour using wifi.
Hotels may have a simple user ID/password for registered guests, just check with the front desk, they can help you get it set up.
