I downloaded and installed the beta Office 2007 to see what all the hype was. I enjoyed it for the most part, but in using it to create a few contacts--those contacts created would not sync with my Motorola Q. I tried uninstalling 2007 and reverting back to 2003 but it turns out that these contacts still do not sync, even having modified them. Also, now that I am using 2003 again, the new calendar entries I create do not sync. I'm not sure what to do--I've run scanpst to check PST integrity; I've upgraded to ActiveSync 4.2 beta; I've deleted and re-created some of the contacts that I remember entering--no luck. I've run detect and repair from the Help menu, and still nothing...

Does anybody have this problem? Have you found a solution?

I contacted Microsoft; they will not support my copy of Outlook 2003, and will not support any copy of 2007. They also will not support ActiveSync--it reverts to the Office support options; which I've described above.

On searching Microsoft Newsgroups, I've found a few people encountering the same problem, but no solution. Someone has suggested it might have something to do with the new XML Microsoft integrated into beta 2. But offered no information on how get it out of my new contacts!

Please help if you can!
