Has anyone seen any accessories for the Axim that are not on the Dell website? What I mean is, when you go to any of the accessory sites, they list all Pocket PC PDAs except for the Dell. Any ideas when these accessories will be available?

I found the Dell accessories with photos here:

BizRate - Dell Handhelds Accessories (http://computers.bizrate.com/marketplace/search/search.xpml?de_id=200&search_box=1&cat_id=46006&keyword=Dell+Handheld&minprice=&maxprice=&SEARCH_GO.x=0&SEARCH_GO.y=0)

BTW, the leather case accessory that I got is not as pictured on the Dell site or this one. It opens like a book, not like the pouch they are showing. My 300 also came with a vinyl pouch case, but I like the leather one much better. On they sync craded, I goofed and ordered just the sync cradle, and regretted that I didn't also get a travel sync cable with it. So, I called last night when I couldn't find just the travel sync cable on the web site (seems to come as an add on to the sync cradle) and they were very nice and are sending me one for $10, free shipping, which is what they cost when ordered with the cradle. Otherwise, they are $19!

I received this note from a sales rep at Belkin on Friday. It looks as though there will be several accessory additions in mid-January. This is in response to a specific accessory request, but provides the info you are looking for.

"Thank you for your inquiry. We are currently developing a full line of products that will work with the new Dell Axim X5. However, the line is not yet available. I assure you we are doing everything we can to get these products out to consumers as quickly as possible. If we can confirm that the Axim will communicate via a serial data transmission we will most definitely make that product. I would encourage you to check back with us in the middle part of January. Thank you again for your inquiry. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to respond."

I just bought a Dell Axium X5 300. Great product.

I'm looking for a modem so I can go on the net but I'm not sure what I need, what it looks like or where to get it. Anyone have a place where I can buy a modem made for this product or will any generic work? Does it plug into the top slot and than hook up to a phone line?? I don't want a wireless or wifi.
Any place where people post classifieds selling handheld accessories?
Thank you advance

What you need is a Compact Flash 56K modem, also known as a CF 56k modem. This will connect to your top slot and then you just connect to a phone line just like you would with any internet. You just have to call up your internet provider and see if they have a PocketPC version of your internet.

Try ebay...
