Hi All, I was able to activesync with my work PC, no problems. But my laptop activesync wont detect my rx1955. I turned off the firewall, etc, and chatted with HP, but still no luck. Clean reset, reinstalled activesync, etc, no luck. I have an encrypted hard drive. Would that cause an issue? If so, any way around it?

What version of activesync are you using? Encrypted hard drive may cause problem. What encryption program are you using? Are there any other security programs running that can block tcp and udp ports?
Here're troubleshooting guides;

4.1.0. The encryption is PC Guardian. I have BlackIce installed and disabled it, but it didn't help. My other PC has BI and ActiveSync worked fine. Do you think 4.2 might help?

You can try 4.2, but i don't think that will help. I think you are correct about the encryption being the problem. Is this a hardware/software combination system? Perhaps the usb key that PC Guardian used can block or take control of all usb ports. If your laptop has infared port, try syncing it through the ir port instead to see if it's usb problem.

It's software encryption. I don't see an IR port anywhere. Guess I'm stuck with syncing to my other PC. Bummer.
