How long does it take to ship?

I ordered mine (400mhz) today with the screen protectors and both the cradle and the cable. Initially it said the estimated estimated shipping date (not the real estimated shipping date for some reason) was Dec 20 (my birthday). I paid extra for the next day delivery. I'm just wondering how your shipping worked out. Think I'll get it by Christmas?

Well, wct097, at this point it seems like a lottery system. Some people ordered theirs and received them within one week, and some have not received after three weeks. No one can really say for sure what Dell's method is, but if I was to guess --> anyone ordering before December will get their Axim mid-December (if they haven't already got it), and those who order in December should count on an early January delivery. My friend ordered his on November 20th with the same options you selected and his delivery date was December 30th. It is my belief that Dell is having to wait for these accessories to come in. This is just my way of making sense of it. :D

I ordered mine on Dec 2, they estimated the 19th to ship. I paid extry for next day, and I got it on the 13th, a week early.

I ordered an extra battery and leather case.

many of the PocketPc sites are reporting that, Dell has been inundated with orders, and never expected this many units to be ordered this quickly. I think the fact that the thing has the Dell name branded onto it, and the fact that their PocketPC will blow everyone else away, due to its price, is probably affecting how fast these units are selling. Just and FYI, the units aren't actually made in the US, but apparently, by some firm in Asia, so first they are made there, and then shipped here for distribution.

i ordered mine 12/17, yesterday, and i received a confirmation of 12/31 ship date :(

needless to say i am waiting in breathless anticipation.

I ordered mine (the 300 mhz version) on 12-12, and I checked today (12-18) and it had shipped (one week early, suppost to be shipped on the 26th). I also got next day shipped for free.

I ordered mine (300 + cradle) from dell.com on December 13. The estimated ship date is December 27.

I also got free next day shipping; unfortunately the shipping date is still a ways out :(

I ordered mine on November 26th (in the AM), and it sat in 'InProduction' for about a week, before it went straight to 'Shipped'. They estimated delivery between December 12-16, but I actually got it on the 10th. I hope this sheds some light on delivery, and may provide hope for the few that WILL get theirs before Christmas.
