HELP! Purged Events GONE for good?

Please send me any advice you may have:

I have a Zire 72 and I just purged ALL my Calendar Events BY MISTAKE! ARGH! I did not check the Save to Archive as I did not realize I had clicked the Purge action. I then proceeded to Hot Sync (set on synchronize ... still not realizing I had done the purge) and all my stuff is gone. Is there ANY way to retrieve the files? I tried going into the DB and the only one is the new one. Please help! Cheers! :)

Unless you have a SD Backup of your files - these are gone. There is one thing to check however if luck is on your side: On the Desktop - go into the file menu for each major PIM (Address Book, Calendar, Tasks, etc) and see if you can import the "archive" file - it will have a date reference. If it's recent, you might be in luck but if not - all is lost.
