I have had a palm m105 for almost a year and until now have had no problems with it. However, having dropped it too many times, I'm having trouble with the screen and would be grateful if someone could shed some light on what is causing it and anything that may improve it.

When I turn my palm on the whole screen (every pixel) goes black. The only way I can get them to change back to the normal display is to squeeze the edges of the palm (sometimes I have to press the edges fairly firmly), and even then the display flickers.

I have not installed any new software recently, and I have done both hard and soft resets with no improvement. I think the problem is gradually getting worse.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? What is causing this? Any suggestions on how I could fix is, or is my palm dying?

Many thanks for your help

I think you are watching the death rattle. if you are interested in trying to recessitating it check out http://gethightech.com/ you can get a new screen for $40. I would just start shoping for an upgrade if I were you though.

Do you have a screen protector slid between the screen and the frame?

Perhaps you can open up the unit and see if the screen needs to be straightened out (after all those impacts).
