I have a Sony Clie PEG-T665C. When I try to hot sync to the Palm Desktop for Clie (4.01) application, I get this error:

Some handheld records were not copied to your PC. Your computer may be full or you may have reached the maximum allowed records on the desktop. To correct this situation, delete some records and perform a HotSync operation again.
Desktop = 0, Handheld = 236

Can I increase the maximum number of records? What constitutes a "record", since I definitely have more than 236 entries in the address book alone? If I must delete records, is there a quick way to archive Date Book records by a time interval?

It keeps deleting my categories for my Address Book too... really annoying! Anybody know what's going on?

Thanks!

I have had the same problems with records not being copied in the past which was resolved only by a hard reset...and most recently instead of my address book categories being deleted my "to do" categories were deleted without warning!

Can anyone help! :confused:

Same problem with my new Clie 2j-22. What did you find out about the source of the problem and its remedy?

Palm has the following information posted in their Knowledge Library: "There is a limit of 10376 number of records that can be synchronized to the Palm™ Desktop Address book application (for Windows), and a limit of 9866 records you can manually 'enter in' the Desktop. After 9866 you can no longer enter new records in the Palm Desktop, (but you can synchronize up to 10376.)"
