Recent obtained a psion, I was using the documents application, and I it appears that I have lost all the text.
I know how to recover this on a normal PC in a dos enviroment, is it possible to recover this on the psion?
I have checked the clipboard and all the temprorary folders, there is nothing there!
how did you 'lose the text' exactly? There is no built-in Recycle Bin on EPOC, so if you have deleted a file, you cannot recover it.
EPOC has a different approach to document creation and saving - perhaps a mini tutorial will help:
When you open any built-in application on a Psion, it will open the last document you worked on. In the absence of this, it will open a file in the C:\Documents folder, with the same name as the application ('Word' in your case). As you type, your words are stored in memory. If you close Word or switch to another application, your words are automatically saved to file. You can explicitly save at any time by typing Ctrl-S.
I suggest having a look in the file C:\Documents\Word - your text may be there. If you find it, you can use File..Save As.. to save the file to a new name in a folder of your choice.
