AnswerDude 07-19-2006, 10:18 PM No, iPAQ 3955 does not have wifi function built-in, you just need to get wifi pcmcia or cf card that has driver for your iPAQ model. I'm assuming that you already have expansion sleeve. Some SD wifi cards may also work, depending on what ROM version you are running, an upgrade may be required. rjm7175 07-19-2006, 10:45 PM Thanks for the quick response and I do have the expansion slot. I am trying to install a Westell wireless card with no success. Verizon supplied the card with my dsl line. I know the Ipaq is not recognizing the card because the power light doesn't respond. I need to find out if Westell supplies a driver for my Ipaq. AnswerDude 07-20-2006, 08:03 AM Westell wireless card does not work with the iPAQ (or any Pocketpc). It is 32 bits cardbus pcmcia type which does not work with any Pocketpc. You'll need regular 16 bits pcmcia wifi card. rjm7175 07-20-2006, 08:14 AM That is the most helpful info yet, thanks a bunch! streetridaz 07-23-2006, 03:02 PM can you provide some links to what is needed for my 3955. I want to connect it through wifi on my router and hotspots around town. What all is needed and links if you got some. 2k05gt 08-08-2006, 11:22 AM I use the SANDISK Connect Plus Low Power WI-FI CF Card with 128 MB Memory (SCWCFB-128) Works Great ! Hotspots and at home.
