I tried to update the HP/Compaq new patch for
3955 for improving SD card issues. Big mistake, as
it screwed up my ROM and can't see SD card at all
anymore, and some programs are missing.
Hard reset, does some weird things, where it
doesn't show the app. cut/paste task when
you first have to run through the setup routine.
Shows the text, but no simulated calendar that
you have to do the cut/past to.
I tried to re install the 1.11 (or 1.10) ROM, and it
says Error 117: must have 3900 series or above.
It isn't seeing the model number of the unit (the Asset
manager program is gone too).
Is there any way to override this, and force the ROM
update? It is communicating with the PC, so if I could
only get it to flash the ROM it should be ok.
Any help is appreciated.
