The above error message is all very well -- except that it appears every time I HotSync my E2. I don't have any memory cards (yet), so of course I haven't tried to sync anything with the card. There is nothing showing in the Expansion Card section of the Palm Desktop's "Quick Install" utility.
The full text of the message appearing in my HotSync log is:
"Install error: There is no card present in the SecureDigital (SD) Card-slot.
Install To Card synchronization failed"
Sometimes this message also appears in the log, just ahead of the above message:
"HotSync detected a change in either the number or type of expansion slots on the handheld. ***Warning: Some applications that were to be installed to the expansion card(s) may not be installed during this HotSync operation."
As noted above, no applications or data files were set up for installation to a card.
These messages started appearing shortly after I installed RealPlayer on my E2 so that I could listen to MP3 files on someone else's memory card.
Any suggestions as to what needs to be done to rectify the situation?
