It's with some regret I've put my 64MB netBook up for sale on eBay - finishes on Sunday - there's also a docking station, Colorgraphic Voyager VGA card and a leather case.

Work have bribed me with with one of the very small and light Sony Vaio's which cost about twice as much as a new netBook used to, and I can't carry both it and my netBook around with me. It's been languishing on a shelf for some time now, and it doesn't seem fair to be depriving someone of the unique netBook experience.

Even though the Vaio has a brilliant screen, good battery life (6+ hours) and all the Wifi, bluetooth and DVD writer bells and whistles you could want it still isn't a complete replacement for the netBook. Closing the lid switches it to hibernate and opening it up and pressing Go starts it up, but I still find the 15 seconds I have to wait irritating. And I haven't found anything as useful as the Psion set of quick and simple software - most stuff is too powerful for everyday use, and it all takes too much time to start and switch between programs. But it links with the office network and Exchange Server better, and has Bluetooth and USB, so I have to use it for work.

If all goes well I think I may bid for a 5mx so I can at least have something Psion - and play around with Linux. But its goodbye and thanks a lot to my netBook (and all the wealth of knowledge on this forum) for now.
