I've got a Revo Plus and a Nokia 5210.
When I try to send phone numbers to my phone by infrared, the numbers go through ok but the names come out as squares and chinese characters on my phone.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

The Psion Contacts app supports infra-red transfer of contact records using the IrObex and vCard standards. If your phone does not support these, then the transfer will not work, or will behave strangely, as appears to be the case with your phone.
I had a quick look on the Nokia website and it does not say whether your phone supports these standards or not. Perhaps the manual will have more information, or you could contact Nokia support.

Assuming that Contacts is indeed sending standard IrOrBex objects or vCards, then it can only be the Nokia at fault. Sounds like a bug in the phone firmware; send it for upgrade to fix this.

I had the exact same problem and was told by Psion tech support that my phone was not compatible and they knew of no workarounds. Since they no longer support their PDA's there was no intention of releasing any upgrades to the Contacts application to overcome the problem either. I guess the only solution would be to get a new phone or a new PDA!! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
