Hi
Strange question - my boss and I use the same office computer on which MS Outlook 2000 is a key tool for us. I use an iPAQ Pocket PC and regularly sync with MS ActivSync with it maintaining a mobile database of Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Email, Calendar and Avantgo channels. My boss has recently aquired a Sony Clie and wants to do the same. I am assuming that this will be possible since Intellisync & ActiveSync are two completely different programs which happened to interface with Outlook. Obviously trying to sync both machines simultaneously is probably a bad idea but is there anyone out there who has done this before or would like to pass commenty on the wisdom or otherwise of attempting to do this. Having our Outlook.pst file going up in smoke is something I would dearly like to avoid!
Thanks
Rod

It's inherently not a problem. Just make sure that both devices sync and that neither overwrites the desktop. BTW, if the PDA's were reversed, YOU'd be the boss. Think about it :-)

Thanks Dequardo..for the advice... Went ahead and everything is working fine. Another question if I may...This Clie came with Intellisync "lite "and I gather from the very poor documentation that this accounts for email not being part of the sync profile?
I also note that contacts which may be associated with multiple catgories in Outlook appear only to be assocaited with a single category in the Clie. My question - if I upgrade to the full intell-sync package will this functionality be supported or are there definitive limitations with what the Intellisync / Clie will support?
(I've had a good look at the docs and the Pumatech website but the product info is not at all explicit.)
Thanks again

Wish I could help you there. I use PocketMirror from Chapura as bundled on almost every other Palm OS device. I do not use the Pumatech product and I can't speak to the mail functionality.
I'd be surprised if it doesn't allow for that.

I DO know that even the base PocketMirror product does allow for category matching. It would be very important to me also to be able to have those displayed as on Outlook.
