I have A IPAQ H2210, i have always been connected to Activsync 4.2 fine, and once a week i used the activsync software to back up my data (Full Back up each time!) Just in case....

Well the just in case happened and i had to hard reset my Ipaq so i lost all the data, i have never had the need to restore my Ipaq from back up before until now...

I connected as Guest, went to the restore option and the selected the back up profile i wanted to use, agree to the warning message that it will remove all current data on the device,i thought simple enough, there is nothing on there now because of the Hard Reset but then it came up with an error message saying "Restore could not be completed succesfully, the back up file was created from a different type of mobile device"

I have never used a different device, only my Ipaq???!!!! :confused:

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

You'll need to set region setting and time zone the same as when you made the backup.

How can somthing so simple that you wouldn't even think of make so much difference!!

Saved me hours of getting all my settings back on and rememering how to to it along with other programs i had on there which i did not have copies of!
