Laptop software series 5mx

Help needed to delete existing series 5mx programme from IBM R52 laptop so that newly downloaded version can run? Tried various ways of deleting existing software but still need help to do this.I'm trying to get english programme to run but it directs me to delete existing programme from add/ remove programme field. I go to there and do not find psion programme?
Software works fine on my home computer (Both XP OS).

When I try to delete the psion file a message comes up saying access denied? I am stuck at this point prior to doing the registry clean programme.
If I run the registry clean programme would this work? Thanks Mark
