While home for thanksgiving, I was admiring my dad's new toy...a XBR Grand Wega LCD Monitor...and noticed that it has a memory stick slot for viewing pictures. I popped the MS out of my NR70V and attempted to view the stored pics on the TV. It could not, however, detect that there were pictures on the card.

After reading through the TVs manual, I found that it can only read pictures that use the Design Rule for Camera File system (DCF).

Does anyone know if it's possible to have the N*70V store pictures that are DCF compliant?

I tried using ej's FullScreen Utilities to accomplish this and found that it's JPEG viewer has a folder named "*DCFPics" but I can't figure out how this is used.

Any insight would be appreciated.

To take pictures with your Clie in DCF (Design rule for Camera File System) format, go to CLIE Camera, hit the Tools icon and change the setting to DCF. Note: you can only write DCF files to a Memory Stick.

To convert existing image files, use Picture Gear Lite. This software comes with the add-on applications you received on your CD.

There is extensive information on file formats and conversion methods in the PG Help files. Do and index search for DCF and CONVERT and you will find everything you need to know to convert images from other sources.

Make your Memory Stick available to your computer via MS Import etc.
Start Picture Gear Lite. Use the navigation tree to go to existing files, select them and use Output Services to write them to your memory stick.
Here is the menu path in Picture Gear Lite: File | Output Services | Output Clie Handheld Format...
