M130 weird problem

I have a used pam m130 with a very weird problem. when i receive it, first i try to charge it to look if everything work fine. while it charging i was take a look and open it. It seem's to work well. So after a while i take it of the cradle to try more test on it and surprise, as soon as i get it out of the cradle the palm freeze ! Batery problem ? I don't think. The most weird think is that the palm seems to work well when i plug it on the cradle - even if the cradle (a usb one) is NOT pluged on my computer !!!

Anyone could help me ?

My first question would be- when the unit is on the cradle but not plugged in to the computer-- is the cradle still plugged in to the electrical socket?

If that is the case then I'd seriously look at the battery first as the problem. If it is not then something is not making connection -- it doesn't make sense that it would be something else, but then I'm not an expert. I own an m130 and also an e-- you might want to look at a take apart video or instruction with photos to get a look at the insides of the unit. This might help you determine what might be loose.

No ! It is not pluged on nothing ! It's the stranger things. I know the battery is not verry good but work about half the capacity. I'm a little bit affraid to open it but i think i dont have the choice. Thank's for youre help !

You definitely do have a weird problem then!

HOpe you figure it out-- keep me informed! I like to hear these odd stories. I never know when something weird will descend on your own pda. LOL

My son's m130 was stuck in digitzer reset until I took it apart and figured out that something was pressuring the band of connections just moving it into a better position solved it. Go figure. (he still needs a better digitizer, but I'm not shelling out the money . . . yet)
