I am really interested in getting the new 6510 Nextel unit, my company uses Nextel's but I dropped mine for a Handspring Treo 300 for the all-in-one connectivity. I wouldn't mind having my Direct Connect feature back. But I am a recent Mac Switcher... Treo 300 Sync's perfectly with Entourage 10, Just using a PC for my redirector software, which I would still have to do for the balckberry. So I ask is there a way to sync my contacts, Address Book, Etc..... on a MAC?????

Please some help....

Blackberry does not currently have a solution for MAC's.

Short answer: yes!
RIM has stated that they do not support the MacOS platform. Since that's what I use, and corporate went Blackberry, I found that the only solution is Virtual PC. The settings are a little convoluted, and the serial-USB adapter MUST be the Keyspan adapter, but I can make screenshots available.

I have a USB cable that connects the 6510 (Nextel Blackberry) So how do I set it up through VPC, I actually was trying tis last week, but the blackberry software didn't recognize the Blackberry, please let me know how you got this working, or any other advice would be helpfull.

6510? Is that the version with 'phone incorporated?
Shouldn't really matter, just curious (jealous).
I have a series of screen shots (8) that I'd actually forwarded to both RIM and Connectix, but I don't seriously believe that they cared.
Stuffed size is 1.4Mb. Have you a site to post them to?

6510 is the Nextel phone/BlackBerry
6710 is the GSM/GPRS (AT&T/T-Mobile) phoneBerry
6750 is the CDMA2000 1XRTT (Verizon) phoneBerry

Thanks for the link NJBlackBerry.
Since there's no way that my boss'll pop for a new RIM (I've got a 957), at least my cell's small enough to fit into a pocket (Nokia 8390).
Now if only I could figure the IrDA connection to my Ti, I'd be happy. (But that's for another forum.)

No problem. I just got my 6710 (I had a beta for a few weeks but this is "mine") and it's very good. I just wish it had voice activated dialing (like most new phones). The phone itself is really good and the e mail is plain old excellent BlackBerry.
