I have been looking and looking for a WiFi card solution for my netBook. I did purchase a used Compaq NC5019 but can't seem to get it to work--thinking I need to locate drivers. Have ordered (waaayyy-back ordered) Buffalo WiFi card from Amazon (think in actuality the card listed as available is just an unkept entry in their inventory database). Other than that no long.

Anyone have any suggestions other than Ebay (no luck there lately for me either) for a ready solution?

look for here (http://www.epocfaq.co.uk/faqNetworks.htm#LANcompat) for the card you can use. And ask Richard (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=45272) if he have some.

Thanks, Kees.

I appreciate the link; I'd seen it before and my task has been to locate those darned cards. ;) They are sure hard to find. But Richard did send me an email saying he had some he might be willing to part with and I am DEFINITELY interested. *Will get back with you, Richard, after the holiday and many thanks.

I just love my netBook. Got a brand new 'industrial strength' model three months ago from Expansys (*they had a few in that I think was a fluke) and bought 2 of them the price was so good. Having used Palms, WinXP laptops and even a tablet this netBook is by far my favorite and has made me tons more productive.

But back on topic--is there a repository that someone knows about for drivers for netBook-compatible stuff like wireless cards and such? I appreciate your time, folks. It's a new experience for me being a newbie to a platform.

When you buy a orinoco card (the best card, you can use also the encryption 64 bit or 128 bit) and I think that Richard have such cards, then you can find the drivers into your Psion.
Goto:
Control Panel
Ethernet
Push "New"
Take the "Standard Settings"
Look by "Divice"
There you can find the standard Psion drivers.

Success.
