A family member has bought a Garmin 660 for Xmas.[UK version]
I'm used to the iQue and 60CSX and all the old models.

I have failed to find the facilities that I require in a GPS within the 660!
Can anyone please confirm that I am not an idiot!
1-Can you plan a route in MapSource on the PC and transfer it to the unit?

2-How many routes can be saved within the unit[whether transferred or planned on the unit]?

3-How many via points can be added to the route?

4-Can tracks be saved on the unit?

5-Can tracks be transferred back to the PC and MapSource?

6-At what zoom level do POIs appear?

Thanks for reading.
Please help if you can.

I can't say the user manual is too helpful in answering your questions but I did find that you can add one via point (called Stop on the Nuvi) in a route from the manual. In terms of being an idiot I don't know you well enough to comment....just kidding....happy new year Strumble.

A Happy New Year to you.

The answers I found were:-

1-Can you plan a route in MapSource on the PC and transfer it to the unit?
NO

2-How many routes can be saved within the unit[whether transferred or planned on the unit]?
NONE

3-How many via points can be added to the route?
ONE

4-Can tracks be saved on the unit?
NO

5-Can tracks be transferred back to the PC and MapSource?
NO

6-At what zoom level do POIs appear?
300feet

I feel happier about my ability, but sad that the 660 has so few features that I am used to on the iQue and 60CSX!

Best Wishes!
