Greetings to all, Happy New Year and many more to come.

I have a question which I hope someone can provide an answer to.
I recently purchased a HP (Hewlett Packard) laptop with Windows XP Pro Media Center. When I try to do a system backuup from the Psion Series7/netbook I receive a blue screen with a
physical memory dump and the HP restarts. I have tried all diffferent configurations using the compatibility program on the laptop with no success. HP Support seems to think it's an issue not to be resolved due to compatibility problems. I beleive there are others running
their 7book on XP so I turn to the community for any assistance. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
Best regards as always.

Marc

I am using Dell Latitude D620 with XP professional. No issue (apart of different behavior of windows explorer while browsing on psion).

You might try as well JPL or Total Commander FS plugins (there's one for exploring psion).

Not very good news from me

After many e-mails with HP support and others,it seems that XP media center and my Psion Series 7/books are not getting along. I have tried other forums, found some useful information but it was useful in Xp only, not media center. So my Psion may go the way of othes who have passed thru here,in storage to be on display someday in the Psion Exhibit. It's too bad because I use them on bussiness seminars, meetings, etc. I haven't given up all hope, the issue may someday resolved but for now it's a new PDA or another portable laptop.
