I have a HW6515 iPAQ with Media Player 10. For some reason it doesn't search my storage card for media files. It only searches the main memory when I update the library. I have to manually open the storage card files and it's only temporary. It just started doing this. Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried soft resets, file explorer and re-synching the music files.

Have you created My Documents folder on the storage card and put your media files in it?

No I haven't. I'll try it now and let you know.

I created My Documents folder and put my media files in it, but no luck. But something caught my attention. I see a file called ignore_my_docs in my storage card. Is that the problem?

Try deleting ignore_my_docs and soft reset.

No luck! But I spotted something else. It's a folder called WMDRM and inside there are three files with a hds extension. What do you think?

Have you recently copied any copy protected windows media files to the iPAQ? Perhaps they are not allowed to be copied to storage card but need to be synced to the card through desktop WMP.

You're right. That was the problem. I deleted all the media files and re-synched them via WMP. Everything's fine now. Thanks a million.
