need help with ISP connection

I am tring to connect to the internet with a Ipaq 3955 via a motorola Iden I85 Phone. The connection to the phone works but the ISP(ameritech.net) won't log me on? The y say that the techs will not help with Pocketpc 2002 (not supported).

Some ISP's check the CLID (Caller line ID) of the incoming call, if you are calling from a mobile phone it costs them more to provide you access at local rate so they may have a rule configured to prevent connections from the mobile network.

BTinternet in the UK do a reverse look up on the CLID to determine whether the caller is on a land line and within their networks, if not or if you are ex-directory then it cuts you off - cheers!
