Hi,
I.m considering the purchase of a 2490 to replace my defunct 5450. Will I be able to use the existing Active Sync to transfer Contacts, Notes, Calendar etc to the new machine?

iPAQ hx2490 runs WM 5.0 which requires newer Activesync 4.2 (available from MS)

You will need to upgrade Activesync. If you already synced your old iPAQ to the desktop, but you should be able to create new partnership and sync the desktop Outlook data to the new unit.
