HotSync Issues

I have a question for those that use a Treo 650. When I connect my USB cable to perform a HotSync, the device automatically starts a HotSync without me pushing the button, then when the device finishes syncing all buttons freeze up until I unplug the cable. If I keep it connected, after a short while the HotSync process automatically starts up again.
This is not a critical problem but it is somewhat of an annoyance. Is this problem common to this device or do I need to get a new cable?

That is happening to me also on my Hp 3150(no phone) IF you change your setting to only sync when you indicate ( manual) it may help. I would recomened getting a back up cable because I am trying to get another for my old one and it is an act of God if it makes it here

I gave that a shot mtcapretta and it did not work. I use bluetooth for Syncing but I think I might be on the market for a new cable :confused:
